Bubble Bar was founded by the couple Kwok-Wai & Goi in 2014. However Goi always have been a big fan of bubble tea since her childhood while growing up in Australia.

After many years of travelling (and drinking bubble tea) around the world , the couple decided to settle back in Belgium. To their surprise, unlike in Asia (and basically the rest of the world), there were hardly any bubble tea stores here.

With their love of drinking bubble tea the couple then impulsively decided to open their first store in Kwok-Wai's hometown. Six weeks later the first Bubble Bar store was opened at Melkmarkt, Antwerp.

The first few years have not been easy as bubble tea was virtually unknown in Belgium. But they believed that one day bubble tea will grow and be accepted by Belgians. Now many years later, their hopes and dreams came true and bubble tea is becoming more and more popular in Belgium.
